Electorate's MP'S

Introductions

Year 7~Shona Singh

Hello I am Shona Singh and I am in 7W2 I would like to be your electoral candidate to represent year 7 in our Water Whanau Student Council. If you vote for me you will have a say in decisions that we make about our whanau, your voice will be heard and every one will have a chance to say what they feel is right. I care about what you think is good for water. If you couldn't say it before you can say it now. For the people not for the power!

Year 8~Harmann Mahey

Hello! I’m Harmann Mahey and I’m in 8W2 and I would like to be elected as the electoral candidate for Year 8 because I think that Water Whanau deserves to have a clear view and vision to where we’re heading as one big whanau. Meaning, we need to have certain rules broken and new actual relatable and followable rules put into place.

  • More opportunities for ALL students to take part in no matter academic level, gender nor socialism. This means everyone will have a fair chance to be a part of leadership experiences such as the Whanau Council and everybody is entitled to be able to speak out their voice without the fear of judgement nor bullying.

  • Change is good and if the whanau comes across a scandal or something in which majority of the whanau population isn’t too happy about, then a “referendum” will be put into place to provide satisfaction to EVERYBODY. Thus, everybody in the whanau environment should feel safe and feel like their voices are heard.

  • Equality for everyone will be introduced into our whanau society. All sexualities, genders, religions, beliefs and races will be respected and normalised in our Water Whanau surrounding and no one should feel like they are pressured to not be themselves when in the whanau. Therefore, EVERYONE is respected to be themselves not only in the whanau space but also outside thus, building essential skills and knowledge needed to strive in the modern world

We pledge to provide all the above statements into our Water Whanau if I’m elected as Year 8 Electoral MP.
